Many women experience light bleeding around the time they would have normally exprected their period. This can occur thoughout the entire pregnancy and is harmless. Other cases of bleeding that require more attention are:
Miscarriage which usually (30%)occurs within the first 12 weeks and the chances after that begin to drop dramatically.

Ectopic Pregnancy: Which would have been detected by now as you are almost in the 5th month.

Molar Pregnancy: This is when the sac and placenta develops, but no fetus is present. If you have heard the heartbeat (and by now you should have) this is not the case.

Placenta Previa: Is when the placenta grows over the cervix, if this is the case your doctor needs to be aware of it before delivery.

Placenta abruption: When the placenta detactches from the uterine wall. This is not very common but it can occur within the LAST 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Any case of bleeding should be reported promptly to your doctor. So please call him or her ASAP.
Good Luck!

Don't worry to much. people have a way of freaking you out when it may not be necessary. Yes call your doctor and set up a visit. Until then go back and count your periods. It is very common to spot while pregnant around the time you would receive your period. Also try not to stress when I was pregnant with my first I was spotting like crazy the first four months. I thought for sure something was wrong. The only thing my doctor was able to tell me was to relax. I had a perfectly healthy baby girl and am pregnant with my second. Bleeding when you are pregnant is scary but it is also very common. The worse thing you can do is panic. Ask around the more friends you ask that have children the more you will find had some tiny form of bleeding and had a normal healthy pregnancy.

I experienced some minor spotting during my pregnancy. The doctor told me that as long as I wasn't in pain and it was just spotting (nothing more than that) and that is also stopped and didn't continue for days at a time that it was nothing to worry about.

She said sex can cause it, and sometimes a hard sneeze believe it or not. She also told me several other things that may cause it.

Either way, it's good to let the docotor know just to be safe.

I am a bit confused by your question, but do you mean that you are almost 5 months pregnant? If so it's not a good thing that you detect blood at this stage of your pregnancy. I would really go and consult a doctor if I were you-good luck

i had this around the five month mark i wet to the toilet and discovered very small spots of blood on my underware, in a whole panic i phoned the doctor only for him to reasure me that gettin stressed wouldnt help and that it was nothing to worry about as long as it doesnt persists
my advice would be to give the doctor or hospital a ring just to be safe and put your mind at ease its unbelievable how hysterical you can be over these things and rightfully so to.

best of luck with everything x

my wife and I are having a difficult pregnancy she is six months or 24 weeks and she showed the same signs what our doctor said was to take it easy no lifting, bending, stooping, or heavy walking try bed rest for a couple of days it has helped her a lot throughout her pregnancy sometimes it is normal but you need to check with your doctor because it could also mean your trying to miscarry try not to stress out and talk to your doctor about what you are going through and she will know what is best.

You need to get into a doctor. Bleeding at all while you are pregnant is not a good sign. Go see someone if everything is still okay the will probably put you on bed rest or at least tell you to be very careful.

If it was just spotting, and not painful, it's probably not a big deal. Normal "relations" with your significant other can cause this because your cervix is sensitive during pregnancy.

I would probably mention it to the doc though

Best of Luck !

Call your doctor's office or go to a clinic. Alot of women, myself included have had bloody discharge & ended up with a normal pregnancy. Just don't ignore it!
