I know a great game, despite its name, which is "Killer". Arrange the kids in groups of 5 to 7. They must be seated in a circle. They can sit Indian style on the floor facing each other. Sitting at a table is possible but it is less fun.

You will need a small stack of playing cards. The number of cards in the stack should be equal to the number of players in that group. There can only be one Ace.

The cards are shuffled and dealt out face down by one member of the group, each member receiving one card. The person who gets the Ace is the "killer". The killer then kills off the other members by surreptitiously winking at them. Of course, this must be done without others noticing. The person killed by the wink must NOT react in any way (this would likely give the identity of the killer away) but must count to five in his/her mind, then say "I'm dead", and turn their card face up.

Someone who does NOT have the Ace, upon noticing who is doing the winking and killing, can say "I accuse ____". This is just blurted out. You don't have to wait for permission. If the accuser is incorrect, then the accuser is dead and must turn their card over. If the accuser is correct, then the game is over.

Score is not usually kept. You can devise a system of who gets the most kills out of ten rounds if you want, but the game is just intrinsically fun to play for kids from about 9 upwards even to college age.

It takes about two or three deals of the cards before kids really get into the game. This game is used sometimes in psychotherapy groups to encourage people to look at others and interact with them. It's really a lot of fun even for adults.

Hope you like.
