GOOD Historical fiction, especially from the Middle Ages, Ancient Egyptian and Napoleonic times. Classics, and also the occasional gothic romance and vampire story.

Vampire books, especially Anne Rice and Charlene Harris. I love the one hit wonders, classics, and Harry Potter. I like Lord of the Rings, but the Hobbit right out sucked. I'm a big Brit-Lit fan. I like the authors Donna Jo Napoli, Roald Dahl, and David Klass, to name a few off the bat. I can't stand most sci fi, but have read a bit. I like books that spark thought, are well written, with good vocab. The Gospel According to Larry and Angels and Demons are good books along with A Separate Peace and The Witch's Boy. I also love and collect Manga.

Some vampire books are good. Like Tanya Huff and the detective vampire books, like werewolf and other were-animal books. Mysteries, Sci-fi/Fantasy, Thriller, Adventure, Thinking books that have a definite story to them and History and Archaeology books.

I enjoy a good horror story, especially those cosmic horrors of H.P. Lovecraft. I also read philosophy and books on culture, history, politics, and economics. Rarely, I even read the newspaper!

I read Sci Fi/Fantasy books. Romances used to screw with my head when I was single and horror stories give me vivid nightmares(really hate the one with the pigmy cannibals eeewww) I occasionally read general fiction, only when it comes from a high recommendation. I cut my teeth on Sci Fi/Fantasy, it was my first love, it will be my last.

Books that I read .. hmnmm thats a lot hehehe
to start i love reading the classic genre it makes me think more of life itself and how the past have lived.
but i read the vampire books just like you it makes me feel like i am always in the maze with them - the dark maze.
I read the self-books because I love to be independent and as much as possible I would like to provide my needs from the creation of my hands.
I read the business books because I love the way this books taught me how to put into action what I have in mind.
I read karate, taekwondo though I rarely do them because I wanna at least feel and learn the ways of their living - (trying so hard I have bruises heheh )
I read music books and a lot of compositions and I sing with them because I would like to develop my gift (though not for limelight heheh) of speaking- its such a lovely thing .
I read magazines about houses, architectures, culinary - I JUST LOVE LIFE itself!!
I read maps - formulating stories of people
I am trying to read the books of diff languages- it makes me laugh knowing I cant read them unless I study the language..so silly of me hehe
those and more are the types of books that I read ;-)
Simply sharin my thoughts ta..ta..

I love to read, and will read almost anything. My personal preferences happen to involve Carpathians/vampires, werewolves, shape shifters, wizards/witches and the like. So anything along those lines is a plus for me.
