The decoration of Christmas trees is actually a pagan ritual and thus has little connection with Christian beliefs, although nowadays it has become synonymous with the Christian festival.

So shop keepers can make more money just a piece of nonsense.The three wise men didn't bring baby Jesus trees or lights. The only lights then, would be the stars, but I suppose Christmas is really for children,and trees and lights make it brighter and exciting for them.But I could be wrong.

christmas it's a bit early to be talking about that. i guess u decorate it because it makes it look nicer and makes you forget the fact that u have a dead tree in you house.

Because laying the decorations on the floor in the corner of the room just didn't stand out enough.

I do it because, they are so pretty, decorated,I love Christmas time,, everyone is nicer,, every thing lite up and pretty. And probably because my parents always decorated.

It a tradition that started with the Germans/Austrians I think.. it came to England with Queen Vicotria Husbad ( who was from Germany or Austria I can't rember which).. from there it spread to other countries..
