My boyfriend has recently asked for time alone, for time to think as we had an argument about our relationship and our future. I never realised that it could be such a big deal when I ask him a simple question like whether he sees in me in the future. He told me he feels under pressure and we had an argument about it as he told me he feels stressed out with everything in his life, including our relationship. He has not been in contact with me for the last 2 weeks, what should I do? I don't understand why men need time alone and time to think? Does he not love me anymore and does not want to be with me? I have been worrying that I might loose him. All of my friends keep telling me not to contact him but why has he been silent all this time? Please explain to me his behaviour.. Have I messed it up?

Their is a difference between time alone and not contacting you in two weeks. It sounds to me like he isn't ready for the relationship and wants his freedom completely. You didn't say how old the two of you were, or how long you have been together. But your friends are right, you need to leave him alone. Do not go chasing him down. If he wants to talk to you he will call. I wouldn't say that you have messed it up, if he wasn't ready, he wasn't ready. Asking him about your future together did not mess up the relationship, it just brought the truth out in the open. Go hang out with the girls and have some fun.Don't sit around and dwell on this. Guys don't like mopey-needy chicks! If you don't hear from him within 2 more weeks, move on.

I can not speak for your bf but, it sounds to me that he does not want to make any commitment to you and the fact that you brought this up really bothered him. 2 weeks is quite a bit of space, I would call him tell him your not trying to invade his space but, to as to respect for your relationship you feel that 2 weeks is long enough and would like to know what is up. Usually if a man says I need space that is a form of breaking up nicely. But like I said you need to talk to him to find out what is going on. You have not messed up in my mind and why are your friends telling you to leave him alone I think 2 weeks is pretty long. Call him and maybe just ask him how hes been and see where the conversation goes, that could be the ice breaker. Good Luck

Men--in general, not all seem to need more "alone time" or with their friends than a lot of us women. Just because he doesn't wish to be with you 24/7 does not mean he doesn't like you/care for you anymore. Keep after him and he really won't want to be with you at all, you will lose him.

No you didn't mess anything up. Its obviously getting around the time that he either has to sh*t or get off the pot and he chose to get off. If he doesn't see you in his future then its better you know now rather than waste more time with him. Dont take it personal. Its just the way it is. Your ready for something and he's not.

If he hasn't contact you in 2 weeks , sorry to say , but you been dumped and don't even realize it. Don't call him that will only make him ignore you more
