It depends what I'm doing. If I'm making a quick spell bag, no, I charge the items with my intent then put them in the bag and leave the whole thing to charge on my pentacle overnight. If I'm creating a spell bag that needs extra energy I will light two white candles. Once the bag is complete I blow out the candles and pass the bag through the smoke. If I am working a ritual, light many candles

you're conscious that Wicca is a faith which you will not even understand totally in consumer-friendly college, good? And that being Wiccan has no longer something to do with psychic skills? Or spellcraft, or candle magick....those are all paticular study that some Wiccans will stick to and prepare. I study herbalism, the Tarot, spellcraft, candle magick, scrying, and runes, that does no longer mean the subsequent Wiccan you consult with will prepare any of those. do no longer confuse the religion with the prepare of witchcraft, because of the fact they don't seem to be the comparable. or maybe then, you will not have the means to prepare the craft in consumer-friendly college. To trully be a practitioner, you need to be thoroughly understand-how of what that's, and what it means to be a witch. for sure, you have next to no understand-how approximately Wicca OR witchcraft, in case you are able to no longer even tell the two aside. i may well be greater taken with how lots you know approximately what you're fiddling with than with what you have been able to do. Doing something with out understanding totally what that's you're even doing isn't precisely a stable element. with the aid of the sounds of it, you have practiced no longer something yet what you study in fictional books and notice in video clips, or on t.v. those are no longer precisely stable supplies.

The Candle is a tool to focus your intent. Your own inner energy. It's not about the candle itself.

I am not Wiccan, but a seidhwoman. However, candles are not necessary to either practice, but do create a good focal point.

Depends what I am working on. Candles are not a pre-requisite to practicing Wicca.

It is your intention that makes the spell work not the tools. You should really be asking these questions of that wiccan waitress and short order cook you are so fond of. Perhaps they will flip you some pentacle pancakes.
