All Clint Eastwoods Spaghetti Westerns
The Great Escape
Forrest Gump
Coolhand Luke
The sons of Katie Elder
Simon Burch
Field of Dreams

I like Westerns obviously, but I also like Movies that not only entertain but provoke thought and emotion.

Anne of a Thousand Days with Richard Burton as Henry VIII. What a tyrant. After watching this try Young Bess ( Elizabeth I young life) and then Elizabeth.( with Cate Blanchett. You will be hooked on tudor history.

Pay it Forward. Not only do I think it is the best movie of all time...It teaches that you that what goes around, comes around...and it does. The fact that it is based on a true story(?)also gains big points with me.If a little boy(hypothetically or for real)can come up with such an idea, what is wrong with most adults?Very moving storyline.I needed a lot of tissue!!LOL!

The Shawshank Redemption... The story (written by Steven King), the acting, and music are all top notch... Kill Bill 1&2 are a close second...
