The Lions, Tigers, Red Wings, and Pistons won't cut it, Mr. Bush.
Detroit need jobs, and lots of 'em. The big three just announced
they are eliminating 100,000 jobs in the Detroit metro. Now they will be moving out of the entire region....What are they supposed to
do, go to Frankenmuth, and dress in lederhosen for the rich Chicago tourists?

If it gets worse, will Detroit start to look like THIS again?

I guarantee, if it gets worse(job situation), the '67 riots will look like
a sunday picnic.

BTW, I'm being somewhat silly to make a serious point. If this is what it takes to get people's attention, that's okay with me...
I don't get it, they announced 100,000 layoffs today in Detroit(big three car companies), and all I see are stories about Paris Hilton. If detroit was 21 and had a nice set of honkers, it would get more attention!

I don't know man, those Lions looked pretty sharp against the Seahawks. Not that the Hawks didn't play like crap offensively(ooh they did...shudder) but for the first time in years The Lions looked like a team on a mission. Crisp, disciplined and executed well. They had the fire. Like the new uni's too. They're tough. Just my opinion, but I played college ball and know sharp when I see it. Get behind 'em!!!!

Oh, George Bush....yeahhh...if you need something or someone blown up...he's your guy. But unless you are trying to bring "democracy" and "freedom" to Detroit, you'd better look somewhere else. Write to Bill Clinton. I know, I know...but he's getting alot of stuff done these days unhampered by the political system and he's expressed a desire for new projects. Not just new babes.

GO HAWKS!!!!

You`d better pray to Jesus / God. The other guy (GB) is not much help.
Besides, I`m sorry to say this: what`s happening in Detroit is becoming common currency all over the world. We should all pray.

I FULLY AGREE WITH YOU ALL THE WAY.. THE PROBLEMS ARE CHEAPER LABOR OVERSEAS.. THEY WILL WORK FOR PENNIES & HAVE NO DEMANDS FOR BONUSES & VACATION PAY...I DO BELIEVE THE AMERICAN WORKER HAS WORKED THEMSELVES OUT OF JOBS, IT IS A VERY SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS. I AM SURE THEY WILL BE AFTER ME NEXT, WE WILL ALL BE IN THE SAME BOAT & THEN WE WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BE AN "ILLEGAL ALIEN" SINCE WE MAY HAVE TO GO TO OTHER COUNTRIES TO GET JOBS...
