First you should setup the desktop printer as a shared network printer. In the printer properties, click sharing, select shared and give it a name.

From the wireless laptop, you should be able to browse the computers on the network, find your desktop computer, open the printer folder, right-click on the printer name and connect. It will create the icon in your printers folder. Make it your default printer.
