He doesnt seem to be as popular before and why?

Before the resent Planet Hulk storyline taking place in the comic I would have said yes the Hulk is loosing popularity. But with the current story line that Greg Pak is writing the Hulk has become very popular again and his future looks bright. According to reports in fact Marvel will be launching a summer event in 2007 called World War Hulk in which the Hulk comes back from the Planet he was banished to looking for a little payback.

He's just as popular as he's always been (any character who still has a book has to be.) I think what's making him seem less popular is that he really hasn't fit into the last few major Marvel events(Civil War, House of M, Disassembled). Right now during the events of Civil War he was shot into space and will probably come back to Earth when things cool off becuse he would be to much of a wildcard in the current conflict.

The difficulty with a character like the Hulk is that there is no situation that he should not be able to overcome. Same thing with Superman really.
How many times can you really read that the army have surrounded him with tanks and the Hulk simply rips them apart.
It is just a boring concept.

I don't think the Hulk ever really was THAT popular. He probably had a bit of a spike when his movie came out a few years ago, but that hype has probably died down by now...

Well the hulk is cool, but the movie really, really sucked. I can only guess that that had something to do with it.

wolverine would desire to conquer the hulk The phoenix would desire to conquer the hulk galactus would desire to conquer the hulk...he eats planets..the hulks no longer beating him...there extra characters that i think would desire to conquer him...etc

maybe because people would prefer real looking super heroes like superman and batman.... enough for monsters!
