Have faith. Once a problem reaches a threshhold point, us human beings pay special attention to it and finally remedy it. For each problem there is a solution.

We have come a long way to go backwards.

Yes, people like you who remind others and bring about awareness to the public can rush our actions into the right directions.

I hope internet helps the next generations to educate themselves better and lead better lives.

The Planet Earth is in dire need of healing. We are destroying a wonderful habitat. Will we wake up to this in time?

Earth is slowly being killed by our own actions. It's important what we are leaving to future generations but at the present rate we are not leaving that much. Is it too late for us all to change our ways of life and take control of the damage we are doing?
Do enough people care about the state of our planet? I know I do.

PS Cooldude20, 3000 CE that is very optimistic. I would think the way we're currently going the Human Race will be lucky to see 2100 CE.

We already are partially round the bend. Nobody is completely sane. If they were, they would go mad just trying to fit in with the rest of us loonies.
Mental disorders have always been around. It's just that nowadays medical science is better at diagnosing the symptoms and the subsequent treatment.
Many people have disorders and are never aware of them. Most of them think, "oh, it's just the way I am."
How many people do you know who behave oddly on occasion? Sometimes I have to ask myself why I did something and then I scratch my head in bewilderment when I can't think of a logical or reasonable answer.
Modern life is stressful. If you go to the gym and train too hard, it's easy to pull a muscle or damage a cartilage or tendon. How hard do we have to work before we start putting our sanity at risk? I guess all this is just a consequence of living in our modern society.

True, it is worrying, but then again say 50 years ago nobody really knew about these disorders, so therefore nobody had them. The more we are learning the worse the situation seems, but I hope you will sleep easily with the fact that we are all pretty much the same as we were then, and in another 50 years all the papers will reveal more horrors, but we are all still the same. Don't worry too much.

For the time being the picture definitely is not that sunny. But I hope future will bring us more good than evil. Progress is in human nature. We've progressed from the era of cavemen to the present day nation-states. In future I hope we will be united under one international government, and a Utopia will be created.

Regarding depression you are right we are passing through a twilight era. The traditions, and customary values, and institutions are breaking down and a vacuum is created. But as physical sciences and social sciences combine together, on the meeting point of the science of psychology, we will then have a better understanding of the working of human mind, and we will be able to create laws and values based on that understanding.

You do realize that the information you listed here is only a projection, right?

We won't know what the future brings until we live it. Any other information about it are based on best guesses and speculation. If we clog our minds with this - than it has a greater chance of coming true. (Because of our mind set.) Otherwise, the future is like a blank sheet of paper. Don't put more into it than it actually is. Don't be afraid of what might happen - be joyful and receptive to what WILL happen...

In any event, I commend your extensive research.

Hi friend! With all respect, with everything happening in the world today, all the wars and total turmoil, I really can only see true clinical depression on the rise. As you stated not only in Europe but totally internationally the stats will rise. That is of course if we are around to see it.

The future brings possibilities (good and bad ones) and options (good and bad).If we all take control of our own lives we can get more options and better outcomes. If we are unable or unwilling to make choices and live with the consequences then the projections you have outlined will have been very accurate.
