Yes, parents with positive RH factors can have a child with a negative RH factor, and parents with O and A blood types can have a child with an O blood type. So, O+ and A+ parents can have a O- child.

A child born of two RH negative parents, however cannot be RH positive.

A child born of O+ and A+ parents can be any of the following blood types: O+, O-, A+ and A-.

The people who are posting that two parents who are RH positive can't have an RH negative child are WRONG.

It is very unlikey but anything is possible. Don't listen to the 'experts' that tell you that someone 'jumped the fence'. In about 20 yrs they will discover it is possible and will they apologize for scaring people? NO!
When my duaghter was born 23 years ago it was assumed that brown eyes would ALWAYS overtake blue eyes. My duaghter has blue eyes like her dad - meaning I must have been with someone else (untrue) Now 23 years later, they have changed their minds. Do you think we got an apology? NO!

YES.

Rh Positive (Rh+) and Negative (Rh-) Blood Types

The Rh (+/-) factor is inherited separately from the ABO blood types. Like the O gene in ABO blood types, the Rh negative (Rh-) gene is recessive to the dominant Rh positive (Rh+) gene. Therefore, a person may have a Rh + blood genotype and can still have an Rh - gene in their genetic makeup (See the chart below). Furthermore, 2 parents with Rh + blood types can have a child with Rh - blood type.

Genotype (DNA) Blood Type
(+ , -) or (+ , +) Rh +
(- , -) Rh -

You have two rh factor genes, ++, +-, or --. In order for you and your husband to be O+ and A+ you are either ++ or +- and he is either ++ or +-. If both of you are ++ then no you cannot have a - child. If one of you is +- then yes you can have a O- child.
