An experiment might not support a hypothesis (a belief that you have as to why something is true) for a number of reasons...

1. The experiment might be poorly designed.

2. The experiment might produce different results each time it is performed, in which case it wouldn't support the hypothesis.

Do you know what a hypothesis is? If not, look it up.

Then think about how an experiment might not support a hypothesis. Perhaps something occurs to give you an unexpected or undesired result? What have you learned in class about experiments that might apply to this question?

Good luck!

HEy! It's your homework! You do it!

But here are some suggestions:
The experiment might have been carried out incorrectly, or the wrong assumption could have been made from the experiment.
