If you are short on cash...don't buy drinks in bars...go to a supermarket...The same bottle would probably have cost you about 0,46 €.
And some places (like bus stations, for example) you can find vending machines with cold water...there a litre and a half bottle would probably cost you between 1.00 € and 1,50 €

Nice and the rest of France is definitely not cheap, but there are other places even more expensive...Try Italy!

thats not bad similar to most cities really...
it's not the sort of place where you want to be watching your pennies though....you'd better of going to prague....lovely place and drinks of all type are cheap as you like (so long as you're outside wenceslas square etc
