either look in your startup folder or msconfig from the run option on start menu and then startup. un tick the programs that you dont recognise, if something else then fails to start then go back and tick it.

if you put your boot up disc in computer close it down and restart it pressing the cap key next to?key it will ask if you want to reboot your computer but be ware you loose every thing so best to save stuff on disc or you can use your e-mail address to store odd things it is up to you or you could go to all programs on start key press click accessory's then system tools click on system restore and restore to a time the computer was running ok the long back you go the longer it takes so be ware some programs you may have to re install but all file pictures should be ok Dave
