Looking for a restaurant in Los Angeles or close surrounding cities w/ private dining rooms for my brothers 16th b-day. For about 30 adults and children. Should be child friendly. ~thanks

I've been to several large parties at Buca di Beppo (Pasadena, Universal Citywalk, etc.) - definitely child friendly.

Shang Hai Reds in Marina Del Rey has both an outside patio right on the water that you can rent (it probably fits about 60 people) and a private room with a wall of windows looking out to the marina as well. The place is nice, but also kid friendly because you can sit outside and the kids can look at the boats and move around more than in a restaurant.

Red Robin seems like the perfect place for kids in that age group. The one by the South Bay Galleria has an outside eating area that I am sure you could get reserved for your party. I love this restaurant and I am sure the bottomless french fries and strawberry lemondade would be a success with everyone.
