mentally or physically? now as a male maybe i shouldn't be answering this for you.. but the fact of the matter is for some women, yes it hurts physically, and for some it doesn't much.. your level of physical activity plays a large roll in this.. some of the people I've known in the past (gymnasts and swimmers) said they had almost no pain at all... on the other hand, it doesn't matter who you are, if you aren't ready MENTALLY for sex then it's going to hurt, and bad.. in your mind.. the odds are if you are asking this question you are young enough to not have realized yet that you probably aren't going to end up with whoever you are with right now. so make sure this is something you are ready for, not something he wants.. you thank yourself a thousand times over when you are older.. but if you do decide to have sex, make sure it's safe! there is no reason to get pregnant when you are young.. use protection.. and do not, no matter what, let him talk you into it any other way. this has to be YOUR decision not his.. and it's YOUR body.. not his.. .. finally, talk to someone you trust before making this decision.. and i don't mean one of your classmates.. i mean an adult.. it should be one of your parent's, but if you just can't bring yourself to do that, make it the school counselor or something similar to that.

It depends on several factors. Some girls feel no pain, some feel uncomfortable and some girls feel pain and a little bleeding.

To minimize pain make sure you are relaxed and have lots of foreplay and if necessary use lubricant. Take it nice and easy.

There is a good website to check out to ask some questions to yourself to think about whether you are ready to have sex.

Its not judgemental one way or the other - it just helps you know whether you are ready to have sex. Knowing this is likely to make you more relaxed and secure which will make your first time more enjoyable for you.

Well like for many situations everyone to their own but, just don't rush into it with someone that you are not sure with and try and enjoy it and it will be a good experience.
Overall though if u feel someone is pressuring you in anyway then DONT do it. - I hope this helps x

it really depends. for some people it can hurt a lot...for others it's just mildly uncomfortable. Some girls will bleed on their first time too. I would wait till you know you're ready before you try to find this one out for yourself.
