No. You go inside the house where the pipe for it goes through the wall and look for a shut off valve. Turn it closed and then open the faucet to make sure you had the right one. Then take a wrench to the nut on top of the faucet and turn it counter clockwise to remove it. Take off the top part that includes the handle by turning it counterclockwise also.. Bring it to a place like Home Depot and say that you need a new washer for it. That is the black donut in there that wears down. Ask them to show you how to replace it - it is very easy. Put in the washer and put the faucet back together again. Turn the inside valve back on and you will be drip free.

There is a washer that controls the flow of water from the faucet. My mom owns an acre of property and these washers dry up and crack often. They need to be replaced. I am not that familiar with replacing them but if you go to Home Depot and ask the customer service department they will gladly explain it to you. Don't go to Lowes though, they are not freindly and their service sucks. Its rather easy to do i do remember that much. Last time I replaced one was several years ago.

Try changing the washer inside. It may just be worn out.
