He just doesn't have charisma. The NBA tries to market every one of their star players in the same image. You know the image: the happy-go-lucky basketball player who gives a laid back chuckle when faced with any comment, who chews pink bubble gum, and who routinely shows up out of nowhere to play basketball with kids on a playground. Not everyone is like that and not everyone is a good actor. So it's not Kobe's fault, it just seems like their trying to make him appear as he is not, so he ends up seeming unnatural. If they would let him be himself, people would probably like him more. It's all in the way he's presented by the NBA. Personally, I don't know him as anything more than a good basketball player. And you know that anytime someone is good at something, there are naturally going to be jealous people who instead of admitting they're jealous, choose to communicate their jealousy with dislike. But, how many people ever admit they're jealous when they are jealous? Not me

Everyone hates Kobe because he's a showboat! Lamar Odom is good your just under estimating him. He cheated his wife also and he has a serious attitude problem. He should start a new team in which he's the only player because he's a one-man team and not a team player. Let's face the truth, Kobe got game but he does'nt use it in a good/right way. peace!Ã

First of all, I have noticed a lot of people on here, never have anything good to say about anyone. Never saw so much negativity, however there are some good guys here that give intelligent answers. Due to them I am at level 3. Now for my answer, I don't dislike Kobe, I just think he is not a team player. As for the championships he won, they did have several players that really stepped up. I like basketball very much and to me, a players private life is his own and actually none of my business. I have enough trouble keeping my own house in order. I just think he gets to much credit, just my opinion.

I cant say anything bad about Kobe''s Skills.
He might be viewed as a Ball hog inside the court, but I think that is a misconception about him. You cant win three Championship in a row if you are a Ball hog especially if you are one of the stars in the Team.
But what makes Kobe a hated person, it is because of his Off court antics. He is a Confessed Adulterer of which whether you like it or not could put a stain in your image especially if you are being considered a Role model by young People.
Kobe as a player he is good but as a person just no one can Stomach him. Though he is a Saint Comparedto Tyson.
