What novel is this? Crime novel about an artist with severe hypothermia problems?

paints scenes of murders while sleep-walking.
I want to know because it has one of the sexiest love stories I've ever read and I would like to read more by this author.

I have it in the back of my mind that it was by Carol O'Connell, but I'm not sure and I've never been able to find it again. I love her novels.
