in your house? Yes? If so find all the little areas they squeeze in and stuff them with steel wool, then seal the opening shut. Mice cannot chew through steel wool! There is always poison's out there that if used properly will eliminate the problem, as long as you don't have small kids or pets( the risk of them getting poisoned is not worth it!) Cats are very effective too! I find spayed females are better mousers(just from my experinces). Plus keeping all your food locked securly away and keeping any area that food's been very clean.

put peanuts in with some poison. mice and rats can not "fart" therefore the gas that comes from eating peanuts finally builds up enough to kill them
