Sick of paying it to be honest. With my sky package on top of the licence fee it costs us as a family over £700 a year to watch the tele.
I was under the impression that we only pay for the BBC,so why cant they do away with the licence fee and make the BBC pay to view, then the user can decide if they want it or not..

I don't at the moment because it is too expensive. About £25 a year would represent fair value for me as I would not watch much television. I do not have time and it irritates me.
Always something occasional that comes up, about five times a year, works out £5 a programme at £25 a year.

OK, I'd like to tell the BBC I would pay as much as I do now but I'd like to CHOOSE what my licence money paid for. I'd vote tons of it going for David Attenborough/Discovery co-productions stuff, none to BBC3 (oh yawn), lots for BBC4, and none for any stupid soap operas.
And they should consult me at every stage with programme commissioning.
Yes, of course my demands will not be met! Therefore I wish to pay £10 a year. It is way way way too much at the moment.

The TV license is such a rip off. I rarely watch TV and certainley don't watch any of the rubbish that is on any of the BBC channels, so why the hell am I paying for a TV License?

Sorry Britts, but us Americans don't pay for TV licenses. Instead, our government gives Rupert Murdoch enough corporate welfare to keep douche bags like Bill O'Reilley and Sean Hannity on the air. I think I'd rather pay the license fee myself. . . . . . .

I'm not prepared to pay the current amount, as I think it's a rip off and represents a blank cheque to the government.

I'd prefer not to pay at all and find the current amount too much for what we get. I'd say 60 quid would be a good compromise.

£000.00p Do not possess a T.V more to life than that however, if you are over say, 55 the T.V license should be free as, most of the programmes seem to be repeats anyway?according to the people who tell me what they have been watching for the umpteenth time!
