Just use a lotion with shimmer. It will give the illusion that your body is all one shade.

This could be from a number of factors. Including increased exposure to sunlight in these areas or a sun sensitivity increase due to medications such as birth control pills or antibiotics. Also, people with darker skin such as african americans, hispanics and asians often experience hyperpigmentation a.k.a. discoloration resulting from a variety of causes: acne, insect bites, scratches or abrasions.
There are moisturizers and lotions on the market which contain ingredients like vitamin E, cocoa butter, or hydroquinone cream which can lighten, brighten or "fade"skin discolorations. Besides that, simply tanning the rest of your body may do the trick.

they're probably out in the sun the most. you can get a tan instead of lightening your legs and arms.

it's cuz you probably wear short sleeve shirts and shorts a lot, meaning your arms and legs have gotten a tan. it'll lighten up in the winter time, or you can wear long sleeves and long pants, but tan your midsection :)

I agree that it's probably just more exposure to the sun. If you want to lighten them apply lemon juice to them. it's a natural, mild bleach (definately safe for applying to skin).

It's probably just color built up from gradual sun exposure. Wear high SPF sunscreen every day and that bit of tan should fade.

its called a farmers tan. The areas that get constant exposure will be darker then those constantly covered. If you do not like it you can fake and bake (aka go to tanning booth).
BTW...some guys like tan lines. It means we are seeing something that is usually covered.....grrrr.
