If you received the same amount for each correct answer your score is 58.57 most teachers will round this up to 59.
to calculate your score divide the number of questions 70 by the number you got correct 41 this equals 58.57% which is the same as 58.57 out of 100 so your score is 58.57

Divide 41 by 70 and you get your grade.
I come up with 58%- not a good score. You may want to work on your math. (or was this a math test score?)

Very Simple: 100 / 70 = 1.428 that's the points per question
Multiply: 1.428 x 41 41 is the number you got right

You got a 58.5% which is an F. To get that you divide the total number of possible points (70) by the number you got correct (40). Then you multiply that (.5857142) by 100. That is your percent (58.5%)

I had a math instructor who gave tests where if you got 50% you got a C. This was 4th year calculus but if you can't do simple percentages, I wonder why your question is in Higher Education
