I use square graphite sticks, conte and square pastel, and prismacolor art stix - on their sides. I've been doing that for years, and haven't seen any others with quite the same technique.

I have something I think you will love. It's in pen, but I use pensil too. I'll send it to you. Nobody other then the people I've given my art to over the years knows of me.
