I'm trying to conceive and I really am hoping for a girl. I was wondering if anyone knew any of those old myths to help your chances on having a girl.

in order to increase the chances of having a girl, you should have sex everyday from the end of your period up to 2 1/2 to 3 days before ovulation. After this point, do not have unprotected sex until several days past ovulation.
Intercourse further away from ovulation favors the larger slower moving X (girl) sperm. The weaker Y (boy) sperm will die more quickly in the more acidic preovulatory vaginal / cervical secretions and by the time of ovulation there will be a much larger concentration of X (girl) sperm available to fertilize the egg.
When trying to conceive a girl, don't orgasm during sex as the body produces substances after orgasm that makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, which favors the "boy" sperm.
The contractions which accompany an orgasm help move the sperm up and into the cervix, giving the "boy" sperm an extra chance at being available when your egg is available for fertilization.

If you want a girl... have sex 2-3 days before your ovulation. If you want a boy... have sex the day of ovulation. Research studies have shown that the sperm carrying the XX (girl) chromosome is slower, larger, and live longer than that of the XY (boy). So... when the XY reach the fallopian tubes and there is no egg... they will die off. Your best best is to check your cm (cervical mucus) and watch for the clear stretchy fluid (if your cm is clear but does not stretch... and feels very wet... like lubricant... then that will work too). The VERY FIRST day that you find your cm to fit the description... have intercourse for the next two days and then do not have sex for the next 2-4 days after that. This method is not 100% effective... but it does increase your chances for a baby girl. The only other thing is to look online for products that can almost guarantee your chances for a baby girl... keep in mind that they are expensive. I hope this helps. Good luck!!

Look under the Chinese Calender and it will tell you the best time to concieve. Which will increase your chances for having a boy or a girl. So far a few of my friends have done this and it really works.....Strange but true !!!

Drink LOTS of orange juice for a month before TTC. Supposedly the acid in orange juice kills off the boy sperm. Also TTC in your mid cycle ovulation rather than your ovulation at the begining of your period.

There are none. You can hope and pray and cast magic spells on your mate's sperm, but it's all useless. Your man has to shoot the right gene, or you don't get a girl.

You cannot determine what the sex will be. There are hormones from the fetus that tells it to be which sex it is going to be. I have more information from a college class I took so if you want it then email me.

yep have sex after period till day of fertile. have a laid back partner(not agressive in bed) and dont orgasm lol, partner should only use shallow entry, get him to wear tighter fitting clothes(DONT GET THIS ONE) and douche with dilute vinegar and water(baking soda for a boy). oppisite for a boy. read it in my pregnancy book have not tried it. dont think it will work but let me know if it does

Well, we watched porno during sex when i concieved my daughter . And we werent when i concieved my son lol.
