Magnesium Sulfide. Its formulation is MgS. A would be MgO B would be MgSO4 C would be MgSO3 None of those use purely Sulfur. So D, (i think of you meant D, a minimum of) is the respond. Equation for the reaction: Mg + S --> MgS
