I like the pigment answer but why do they grow so long? I mean they grow so much longer than any other hairs that aren't in the mole.

i have one on my wrist like that (and i'm a blonde) i think it has to do with the pigment of the skin it grows out of, my husband has one on his neck and 5 black hairs grow out of it, it drives me nuts so i have to pluck them

To keep the tweezer companies in business. To pay us back for all the mean things we did to our parents as children. To make us crazy wondering if there is a hair poking out of our mole when cute guys look at us. Alas, I wish I knew the true answer. I'm gonna check back to see if anyone knows the truth.
