what can anyone tell me about dating a person who is studying to become a jehovah witness and you are not?

The bible says not to be unequally yoked. So if your religion is different from his, it would not be a smart idea to get into a serious relationship with that individual. The reason I say this is because the bible says: How can two walk together except they be agreed? So both of you would have a different outlook on many different things and beliefs. Therefore it would make it impossible for you all to have a healthy and peaceful relationship with each other. Simply because you don't agree the same.

The Scriptures clearly instruct a true worshipper to only marry another true worshipper. Dating is not simply recreational, but must always be viewed as a step toward courtship and possible marriage.

(Exodus 23:32) You are not to conclude a [marriage or other] covenant with them or their gods.

(Deuteronomy 7:3) And you must form no marriage alliance with [unbelievers]. Your daughter you must not give to his son, and his daughter you must not take for your son.

(1 Corinthians 7:39) She is free to be married to whom she wants, only in the Lord.

(Nehemiah 13:25) You should not give your daughters to [the unbeliever's] sons, and you should not accept any of their daughters for your sons or yourselves.

(2 Corinthians 6:14) Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers.

The Scriptures also contain cautions against unscriptural reasoning that may agree with one's heart rather than God's will.

(2 Thessalonians 2:1-3) We request of you not to be quickly shaken from your reason... Let no one seduce you in any manner

(Romans 16:17-18) Keep your eye on those who cause ... stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them. ...by smooth talk and complimentary speech they seduce the hearts of guileless ones.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

I would highly recommend if you have "feelings" for this person to study with them.

By studing with them, you will learn some very important things , not only about the bible, but also about your friend.

Is this person humble?
Is this person reasonable?
Is this person dogmatic?
Is this person respectful?
Does this person insist on their own way?
Is this person get angry when their opinion isn't accepted?

While you are looking at the other person, you can also look at yourself.

religion is a very serious issue, and unless you are willing to accept and tolerate that and above all respect his religion, you will be better off staying just friends, religion is the cause of all wars; but between two people is better when they have similar or the same religion tendency.

Dont do it, because if you want to be with them or marry them, then you have to change your name and location too. Then no one will know who you are, or where to find you. And if you tell people who you are, then everything you just did will be ruined. Your parents and friends arent even allowed to know where you live!!!
Its sucks!!!!!!!!!!!
