It would have to be "Fall" in the Southlands. From mid-september until the middle of November it is just wonderful. October is our driest month of the year, and it is usually dry air in the daylight hours without the very high humidity. It may get to about 80 degrees, and the nights will hover around the high fifties. The tress, especially the "oak trees" the leaves will turn red, and the spruce a golden yellow. I live at the foothills of the great smokey mountains, in fact the "smokie mountains" end at Nocaloola falls nearby. In fact at oak Mt. State Park the trail begains in Central Alabama, and ends in Maine. Friend, that is a long hike...

Winter... I live in warm and Sunny Florida, and the Winters here are perfect.
When I lived in the north my fav season was Fall because I liked all the leaves changing colors and that smell as they rotted on the ground and the sound as I walked through a neatly raked pile of leaves.

I love the fall. I love the cooler temperature. It's not too hot and not too cold. It's not rainy like spring and its not scorching hot like the summer. It's a very nice time to be outside.

Spring, because you get to watch the earth and mother nature be reborn once again from the barren winter.

It will forever be as Summer turns to Autumn. I have good reason to believe that I will fondly remember such a time for the rest of my life...
