I quit school when I was 16 years old. School was for nerds. My mom said ok, but I had to go work in the field picking tomotoes.
I got up at 4:00am and went to work picking tomatoes, like the immigrants do.

I worked from 4:00am to 2:00pm in the scorching Arizona heat and only made $30.00. I didn't know this, but they don't pay you by the hour, they pay you by the bucket ($2.00 per 5 gallon bucket loads), well it takes about 30 minutes or more to fill a bucket.

I went home sore, sunburned and extremely tired. My mom made me do this for the entire month. After the end of the month, I begged her to let me go back to school.

Well, I learned an appreciation for hard physical labor. I now am in Law School and have a wonderful job with a great law firm. I learned my lesson.

They took my car away from me for letting my boyfriend drive it. Were they right yes but back then no. I was suppose to be grounded for 2 weeks but after a week my mother wanted me to run to the store for her. Well explaining to her that I couldn't because I had no keys to the car...I got them back. To let ya know she should have kept them.
