If you haven't gone through menopause, yes.

Please remember - the odds of genetic problems in the baby will increase drastically the older the mother is. There is a 50% increase in cases of babies born with Downs Syndrome in mothers over 35, and that % increases as the mother gets older. Talk to an OBGYN about pregnancy and what tests will need to be run on the fetus after conception to determine if it is alright. Also consider if you find out that your baby has an incurable genetic disease, what you want to do about it before you do the tests.

I'm not trying to scare you, I just want you to know the risks involved and you need to talk to your doctor

I would say the chances are very slim. You should ask a gynecologist for an honest assessment about the risks and rewards of doing this. Getting your tubes opened isn't a small procedure and getting pregnant past forty is very difficult in the best circumstances. Your pregnancy would probably be much more complicated and uncomfortable too. And then there's the very real risk of Down's Syndrome. Then there is the matter of taking care of an infant when you are older and the child still being dependent on you when you are in your sixties. I would think long and hard before trying to get another baby if I were you. But, I hope the best for you. I know how it is to want a baby even when logic goes against it.

I looked into this over the internet a bit ago because I was thinking of getting my tubal reversed. It most definitely is possible. Research this on the internet for areas that do that procedure where you live. The sites I found even gave the % of cases that were successful with the doctor. Good luck! And if you really want another baby at 40ish, I hope it happens for you! I didn't have a baby, but I have a 10 mo. old stepdaughter and I'm almost 43! She is an absolute joy!

The chances are always there....the only problem is the baby's health if the woman does conceive. Being pregnant at the age over 35 is considered a HIGH RISK pregnancy. Its possible and people have done it. if your in good health I don't see why not. I would defiantly see an ob/gyn before conceiving so they can tell you everything you need to know. GOOD LUCK!

Concerning the age factor it is possible but there are higher chances of your baby having certain defects like down syndrome. Concerning your tubal operations it really depends on what procedure you had done, i.e was it permanent of can it be reversed. Good luck

Yes but there is an increased chance of birth defects, especially down syndrome.

You need to make up your own mind, but you should consider adoption. There are kids out there already who really need a parent who is ready and able.

It is possible yes. As long as the dr. gives the green light there is a very good chance of becoming pregnant after a tubal ligation reversal.

yes you can get pregnant, it may cost a lot. but you have to consider the child that doesn't want its parents to be so old. you will be in your early 60 s before your child is raised. No matter how hip you are you will be out of touch
