take a cotton ball and tear off a piece of it. then roll it long and thin between your thumb and first finger. then you take it and push it under your toe nail and try to get it into the area where your nail is growing in to the skin. you may need to have a parent help you and squeeze a towel in your fist while they do this. now that that part is done and you will need to re do it at least once a day, you will need to soak your foot in warm water. you can take a bathe or run some water into the tub and sit on the side or even get some in to a tub or bucket and sit watching TV. but you will need to re do the cotton after that too.
I have the same problem and my dad always does the cotton for me. good luck it should only take 2 or 3 days to get it under control and then to keep it that way put cotton in if your going to be on your feet for more than 4 hours and if your feet are going to be wet. you can try to ask your dock if there is any thing else you need to do to keep it from getting infected.

i feel really sorry for you. I wouldn't try to get it out myself if I were you. I would go to a doctor. They know how to do it, so it wouldn't take them as long and you wouldn't be in pain as long.

if it is hurting, you should go to the DR, or minor emergency room. They might remove it.
