I don't think it matters where you get married, just how you feel about the person you are marrying. Weddings held in traditional places sometimes have short life spans.

My Vegas marriage lasted about 3.5 years. Why we broke up had nothing to do with how or where we got married. The reason we got married in Vegas was cuz we thought that city was fun, and wanted to have a small, cheap and fun wedding with no planning involved. Instead of spending money on a wedding, we bought me a new car - which I'm still driving, 10 years later; was it a good investment or what? (Our marriage broke up almost 6 years ago.)

My friend got married in Vegas and they were married for 7 years before they split, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I was married with a huge wedding and here we are 4 years later filing for divorce!

Not quite clear on the question. The ceremony was quite short. Our marriage has been going strong for 10 years now.
