Did he catch fire. i am watching it on T.V. and they blocked out any kind of grousome parts.

yeah he did catch on fire. that was a great movie. i loved it. enjoy! in the actual movie they didn't show the guy on fire though, like you saw him actually burning. what they did was covered him to smother out the flames

He didn't wet the sponge so the shock didn't go straight to his brain quick enough to kill him. He caught on fire and was obviously alive and in pain for almost all of it. The people all freaked out and left the room while the guy who did it was made to watch.

The electrical energy did no longer bypass directly to his techniques so he did no longer die as quickly. so they had to bypass lower back and since the sponge wasn't moist the scent of his fried head seeped out. If the sponge replaced into moist he could have died promptly.

His head flamed up like the fourth of July and the people screamed as the stinch became unbearable. The other guards made him clean it up and then got him transferred out.

The sponge did not get water on it. Without the water to conduct the electricity into his body and killing him quickly. He was cooked slowly and painfully.

He didnt soak the sponge in water and instead of electricuting him he was cooked and he turned black like he was burned..

Yes, he burned...I suggest you rent the DVD and watch it.
