Sounds like everyone jumped on you over that question. As long as your still a Minor you have to live under the law of your parents, I understand that stinks, but that's how it works. I can almost remember back that far, I was very rebellious and did not respect anyone, my parents divorce and left me to take care of myself at 16. So in a way, parents are controlling, but it is no fun to be on your own at 16. I know it seems that time is moving slow, but if you both wait, it will be that much greater when you do share your love with each other.

You really don't need to have sex. You have plenty of time for that. You have your whole life ahead of you. Focus on finishing High School and going to college, getting a good job and then worry about all of that. Even if you have already slept with him there is nothing that they can do because you guys are the same age and you will be giving the guy consent so don't worry about that.

They can try to get him for rape since you are under age. But having the proof can be hard for a parent to get. Even then, some laws say it is OK if there is less than 2 years of an age difference between you and him.

It depends upon the state you live in. The age of consent varies from 13 (in Kansas) to 18 in many other states. But at your age it isn't wise to be having intercourse.

Yes, your parents are able to and should contact the police if you are having sex with your boyfriend, you are a minor, and it is not legal for you to agree to have sex with anyone until you are eighteen years old. Do not do this, you are both too young. Do not have unprotected sex, no matter what. Birth control for you and a condom for him. If I were your parent I would definitely get the police involved, and your boyfriend would be arrested for illegal sexual contact with a minor.

No. They can't get the police on you. There is no law in any state that limits your sexual activity because of your age; unless the person you're having sex with is 18 or older. There are laws concerning underage marriages and they vary by state but nothing limiting sex. That's why there's so much talk about protection and abstinence. It's wise not to have sex until you're responsible enough to handle it.. but you can't get arrested. Your boyfriend can't either unless you two are caught on his 18th birthday and you have not yet reached yours.

It would be stupid of me to say, don't have sex, you're too young. As a teenager, I paid folks no mind when they started lecturing me about when I was ready to have sex. I'm speaking from a different angle. The longer you wait to have sex, the more you know about sex. The more into your body you get before having sex, the better sex partner you become. People think sex is as simple as being penetrated. That's not true. Educate yourself on sex and how you can responsibly begin adding it to your life BEFORE you actually start having sex. Think of alternatives to sex, like masturbation or sensual massage or oral stimulation. Explore sensuality before exploring sex. It will change your sexual experiences.

Trust me, you do not want to risk the health of your relationship with your parents over sex. It would be wise that, if you rely on your parents for food, shelter, and/or clothing, you abide by the rules they give you. If not, you need to be on your own or move in with your boyfriend. If you're being supported like a child, act like one. It shows more immaturity to have to rely on them but be unwilling to abide by their rules than to just wait until you're in a better position to have sex and enjoy it, without having to hide or sneak. The sneaking around is what verifies that you're not ready.

Until your eighteen they can do anything. But i suggest that you wait until you are at least eighteen to have sex anyways. You are not yet in a state of your life where you can honetly determine whether or not you are ready to do that and you dont want to regret that because its something you will NEVER forget.

Yes, they can take your boyfriend to jail for statutory rape. And you can spend the rest of your life in poverty starting as a teenage single parent.

It depends on the state you're in.

But if you KNOW your parents are going to be upset about it, can't you figure out that it's WRONG?

You are way too young. They're not going to be MAD, they're going to be worried that you are going to ruin your life. They're your parents. They love you and don't want you to mess things up.

yes, you are under 18 so it qualifies as statutory rape whether you are willing or not ... your parents can have him arrested.

additionally, if you cross a state line, it becomes a violation of the federal Mann Act ... a felony
