Ask the doctor for a blood test, sometimes pregnancies take a while to build up the hCG hormone needed to create a positive hpt. If your last one took so long to show up it's completely possible that your levels are naturally low. Good luck to you, keep us posted!

Yes, you could be pregnant in spite of a negative pregnancy test. Your HCG levels should be high enough to be detected if you are pregnant. In the best of hands there is error. The error rate is higher in home pregnancy tests.

These symptoms could also be caused by anxiety over your late period. For the moment, pretend you are pregnant. Take normal vitamin supplements, especially folic acid, (not abnormal doses), avoid alcohol, repeat the test in a day or two with a friend to double-check your technique, and see your doctor.

Some of your symptoms represent a pregnancy. You would not be able to feel the baby flutter yet though. You could be pregnant and have a negative test. My advice is to wait a week and if you still have no period, retest. If it is still negative go to the Dr. for a blood test.

Why not jsut save yourself time & headache & go to your doc & ask for a blood test instead of asking on here?? If you are late & the tests are neg & were neg for a while with your previous pregnancy then common sense says go to the doc!

I would ask the doctor for a blood test. Some people get negative urine tests but positive blood test.

You need to go to the doctor and have a quantitative hgc blood test instead of asking questions here...
