Ive got a 6gb mini ipod, but when i try to import songs onto it using itunes it will only hold about 1.5gb of music, it then just stops importing it with no message or anything.

Take it to an apple store.

Take it into a Mac store to get them to run a diagnostic on it. If the 1.5gb of music is the only music on there then there's something wrong with the iPod most likely. My mother had a 40gb (or was it 30?) that would refuse to hold more than 15 gigs, we took it to repair center and after giving us the run around they finally replaced it.

I assume you are not using the remaining space to store other files (by using your iPod as a removable drive).

If you don't have any other files (other than the music managed by iTunes), apple service center is the only destination.
