Get a Macintosh!
They can run more software, since only Macs can run OS X, Linux, and Windows.
They're very secure, so there's no need for antivirus or antispyware on them unless you install and run Windows.
They're easier to set up, maintain, and use.

I really love the morons that say "Dell sucks, buy an Alienware!"

Newsflash morons - Dell bought Alienware.

Anyway, Falcon Northwest is today what Alienware used to be. A very good small company that still has good customer service. They sell some of the greatest highend systems on the market today.

Anyway, since you are looking for a video card "close to 250$$" then money IS a factor - since dual nVidia GeForce 7950X2's will set you back about $1200 alone.

Your best bet is to price out your components (mobo, memory, vid card, etc) and give a place like newegg a call and have them build one.

BTW- I don't hate Dell or Alienware. In fact, Dell is decent enough, and Alienware are still kick-a** machines. I just hate idiots.

Your best bet is to get your computer custom built. The people above reccommmend Alienware, Mac, and Sony, but with these companies you will not get a good computer for your money. To offer people like you a better alternative to high priced computers and all the options you might want, AgatesComps builds custom computers at extremely low prices. For more information on how you can save hundreds of dollars and improve your system performance, email the AgatesComps building team at Compbuilder1@gmail.com.

Then if money is not a problem go for an alienware. The most kickass computers on this world (for people who don't know how to build it)

If you know how to build it then it will be cheaper and better but also harder to make it work.

The best "all-in-one" solution is alienware

This beeing said. I saw the Dell XPS and they are awesome (i saw both the desktop and laptop versions)

I bought a high end Sony tower for video editing about 1.5 years ago and it's working out great for me. Plus, I'm also playing games on it and using it for productivity.

alienware provides the top end high class models for everything. you WILL dish out some loot on them but if money ain't an issure, go with alienware.
