Hi, I wondered if anyone has any ideas for the best introduction to the work of Michael Frayn. I've seen Copenhagen but want to start reading his novels. Any advice would be very welcome.
Thanks

I'd say his best received novels are "the trick of it" -- which is funnier, and either "Spies" (which is probably most like Copehagen, and is less funny) or "Headlong", which was shortlisted for a Booker Prize but which I find unconvincing.

You might also be interested in materials he has published about Copenhagen and its subject, and in a recent play of his, "Democracy", which, like Copenhagen is based on recent history. His most famous work is probably another play, "Noises Off" which is pure farce.
