My friends are having their 1st baby in November and I need some help with ideas. I want to spend $25 or less.

i give a gift bag full of things they need. like baby wipes, lotion. wash,
baby oil. things like that

I think any new mother can never have enough diapers. When my niece had her baby, we bought her diapers but not just the smaller sizes but some of the larger sizes too so she'd have them for later.

When I was pregnant with my first daughter I got the neatest gift - it was a lace bonnet that when you snip the back stitch, becomes a handkerchief for her to carry when she gets married. I never used it on my daughter but left it in the box for her.

How about you take photos of the baby, and then present the parents with the pictures, negatives, and a CD/DVD of digitized images? Parents *never* have enough photos of their children, do they?

Get them a baby bobby it is good for breast feeding and setting baby on floor. Or a diaper cake it is a cake made of diapers but you don't eat it.

Gift basket with blankets, diapers, bottles, rattles, teething toys, wipes, powder, .....junk like that. You can get a lot of that type crap at a dollar store.
