It could be considered so, yes,.... but some people are just plain mean and rudeness is second nature to them.

Maybe.
But maybe it's just a weak person's perception of the strong.
I've been called rude before for telling a persistent canvasser to "**** off" when he chose to ignore the word "no". This by an individual who would allow himself to be browbeaten in to signing up for anything because he doesn't want to seem rude.
Sometimes rude is all rude understands.
Funny ol' world, innit?

No, it's sometimes an expression of contempt for the person on the receiving end - I'm sorry to say that I'm usually rude to politicians, bureaucrats & evangelists as a matter of course

Yes.....and also a sign of bad breeding/upbringing.
A weak person isn't rude by default. They have to be *made* to be that way. Nature and nurture both play a role.

Not always. Some people were brought up to feel like they are better than others and it is their right to say whatever they think, no matter how rude or how hurtful...sad.

Sometimes...not all the time. Sometimes it's simply a very strong persons low opinion & total disregard of others.
