Does anybody agree with me, that films like the most recent one made, about the Trade towers, should be banned. I've seen many real documentaries about what happened: 9/11, & how many families have been destroyed, where they lost loved ones! Should film makers be allowed to make money from other peoples hurt & misery? I'm NOT a kiljoy, but how can a film about this, be any kind of entertainment? .................PLEASE only serious answers..... Sensative subject. Thank-you.. I live in the UK

I liked the movie, it is not a thing of profit. It is the realization of diverse strangers helping each other. On the Titanic Thomas Andrews helped people into lifeboats, people he did not know. The same with the police and firefighters that died that day.

Point is that us Yankees as the british say are a more emotional people. We embraced those that survived from the towers. But the men that survived the titanic were riticuled and called cowards. Would you rather all the men sit in the stairwell and let all of the women out of the building first, and let the walls crumble around them.

There may be other ways of making a tribute, but truste me, most of the people living in this world would like to have a leading part in a hollywood movie, and all those heroes who died in 911 are having there chance. I understand that people go to the movies for entertainment, but they dont entertain themselves watching those kind of movies. They go to learn things that they didn't know by watching the movie. They're going to make money, but that money is for the survivors that need that money on any treatment to get better. They're going to spend that money on building a museum about 911. Of course your not a kiljoy, but your not by the fact that your not killing ANY joy, nobody enjoyed 911, and by watching the movies they learned al lot of things about what really happened.

Thanks for your question!!!

If it is a documentary type of film, then it may be some kind of tribute. It's very early, so it will probably displease as many as it pleases, I suspect.

However, if it is a piece of Hollywood, then it is far, far too early for anything like that, or anything remotely similar. Surely Hollwood types can't be so insensitive as to produce something with Bruce Willis (for eg) so soon? It would be an affront to anyone with any sensitivity at all. I'm English, and I would be offended at a piece of entertainment like that. Just think how an American would feel! (or, of course, you may be American). Anyway, well said!

I don't necessarily believe that they're creating movies *just* for the value of entertainment. What I've noticed is that the films being created deal with the human aspect of the tragedy, but, of course, there are exceptions to this.

Profiteering from others peoples hurts/pain isn't moral, but in our world, it is a reality.

Another question::: would banning these type of films be a sort of censorship? I think it would.

No they should not. Censorship is wrong in a free world. I have also seen the documentaries and the one that annoyed me most was the millionaires of 9/11. The compensation culture is getting beyond a joke and sadly it seems to be the norm.

This is America... you can't ban movies without criminal intent.I agree if a movie project is solely for money, that's bogus. But if info is accurate, everyone in the world needs to see the agony suffered by the innocents that were killed or had someone killed in that cowardly attack. That's right... I'm calling any of you terroroists complete cowards. Payback time is coming....

When Nato planes drop bombs on a city, they say they were going after a legitimate target.........the fact that, the bombs kill many innocent lives.......is irrelevant, Nato, got their target

The mouthpieces for Nato, apologies..........The suffering of the family's of the people killed and injured is also beyond comprehension.

They say, about 3000 civilians died in the Twin Towers attack,

They reckon, about 100,000 civilians have died in Gulf war 2 +
alone,

Stop making films about the 3000, and start making films about the 100,000

I don't see it as any different than making movies on other historical events. It's no different than Titanic, or The Longest Day, or Pearl Harbor, or any other movie based upon real events. The only difference is, it's more recent. They made World War II movies DURING World War II. These movies help us to remember the past. That's important. For some people, these movies are the only "history lessons" they get. And we have to remember our past; to honor it, and more importantly, so we don't repeat it.

I agree you know what happens at the end just like Titanic. The ship sinks the buildings collapse

and it feels a bit too soon to being a full on dramatisation for profit

Maybe it's a good idea if Osama and his cronies get to see it and realise how quickly America bounces back to pay tribute to it's heros in a Hollywood movie.
