Where I used to work I had to file for 2 hours a day, and kneel to get things off a printer everyday. Well my knee popped and it's hurt ever since. Sometimes it feels wet, but really isn't. I went to the doctor and he said that I may be losing the cartilage in my knee's. I am too young for this to happen! He gave me some meds to help, but now they aren't working. I don't have time for surgery (he wanted to scope my knee) so I need some alternatives. I've heard of glucosamine and condroiten, but what else is there that I can take to help with the pain and maybe circumvent surgery?

glucosamine and condroiten if taken for a few weeks will help to ease the pain, but there is also an old wive's tale that I have never tried, but my southern grandma swears works. this is weird, but: sleep with a bar of soap on the mattress next to your knees. Good luck to you.

Joint pain or stiffness of the joint may be caused by overexertion, injuries, arthritis, muscle pain, bursitis and other diseases. Depending on the cause of the joint pain, joints on both sides of the body and small or large joints may be affected. Some types of joint pains can be completely cured but for other types of joint pain (like pain caused by osteoarthritis), treatment will only reduce the pain.
