It's not. But doesn't the number of American war mongerers on here depress you slightly? The gung ho attitude of "Let's go kick some Muslim butt" is sickening

The peace symbol is not Satanic. This is a popular urban legend. So the story goes, it represents a cross being turned upside down and having it's arms broken. The legend was apparently invented by hoax monger John Todd (aka Lance Collins) who was exposed in the book "The Todd Phenomenon".

The symbol is said to have actually been designed by Bertrand Russel.

Some people believe that the peace sign is an attack on CHRISTIANITY. That is symbolizes a broken crucifix, that has been turned upside down to show disrespect for the crucifixtion of Christ.

Hey your name is a Pink Floyd tune! Been a long time since I listened to Animals.

Who told you your peace sign was satanic? That is retarded. No it does not ever end.

that symbol is NOT satanic per se- it does however give viet nam veterans flashbacks of the war. So yeah, they will put a negative twist on it.

Really? Someone told you it was Satanic?

Perhaps they thought it looked like an upside-down pentagram. That's all I can think. (Or, they were making a comment about the American flag on it......?)

Its an anti-hippie thing. I remember hearing this stuff from my parents back in the seventies. Never believed it myself.

It's a broken cross. When I was a kid, it was also known as the footprint of the American Chicken.
