I am ok with it, I am only requesting that we have something legally drawn up saying when he will be leaving, thier destination and when they will be returning. The wife seems to be making the decisions and he doesnt. SHE said they say they are not going to do that and choose to not take them. I dont think i am wrong but if i am , please shed some light on the situation

First, what does the Child Visitation portion of your divorce say? Taking children to a foreign country - with a plan to not return - could make it very difficult for you to get your children back. Do you think this is the case? Or are they just going a cruise ship for some fun and travel? Secondly, the wife shouldn't have any say about the documentation you request, they're not her kids! I don't see a problem with you requesting their itinerary for the trip. If she refuses to provide the details, and you feel strongly enough about it, let them leave the children but make sure they have to explain why and not blame you. Again, review your divorce documents.

I think what you did was perfect. But what I wonder is do you think that hes gonna run off with them? I mean do they have ties some where eles? Was there a bad custody battle? And even if he puts it in writing if he intended on running off he'd do it. I would talk to your lawyer about it. I understand both sides. But if they had nothing in mind why not sign something? Best wishes...

certainly they should provide a copy of their itinerary so you know where your children are ... thats required by law since you are the custodial parent. my impressions is that she doesn't really want them along and wants to make you the "bad guy" ... tell your ex to grow some cajones and provide the responsible info
