miles away, as if re-writing this song is a platform of the Democratic Party. The question is usually stated similar to this: "Did you know that at nursery schools they can no longer sing "baa baa black sheep" Has political correctness gone too far?"
Fact: Back in March, 2 charity run nursery schools in Oxfordshire England sang the rhyme as baa baa rainbow sheep.
Fox News reports the story differently from the BBC to make this sound like a big issue, a common thing all over England.
Why is this story repeated over and over? Can you think of any political motivations?

Possible political motivation - to make political correctness, a concept (unfairly) associated with Democrats seem absurdly anti-racist. Therefore, vote Republican -- Democrats will stiffle all free speech having to do with race?

Clearly a divisive but irrelevant bit of mind play going on here. Needless to say that American Yahoo'ers from the extreme right side will take something like this and tout it as an affront to their "perfect" America ... where everyone is greedy and mean. Luckily a majority of rational folks will receive it for what it is... nothing.

well... frankly... it's about the right to do what you want, if you ask me... if you feel offended by something, you can complain about it and the company/person can change it if they want... that's all political correctness really is... a choice to not offend someone...
no one is making anyone be politically correct... it's just social pressure... and the last time I looked... social pressure was legal to apply, although it's not legally binding...
does it go too far sometimes... probably... but who's to say what offends you or me doesn't go to far in some people's eyes... it's all about the cultere you were raised in and what's acceptable...
it's not some "liberal plan to rule the world" as many seem to think... including fox news... they just don't have anything else to talk about...

I believe you to an volume and yet I additionally disagree with you to an volume. i will say Merry Christmas despite in case you do no longer have fun it and that i do no longer think of the be conscious "gay" is offensive (if Y!A promises a VN for saying gay it may look somewhat hypocritical considering they use the be conscious interior the call of the LGBT class). although, if somebody have been to call my daughter who has autism and getting to understand problems or my nephew who has Down's Syndrome a "retard" i could be waiting to kicktheirass. you are able to say that i'm giving that be conscious the potential to be offensive, while i could say that if the be conscious replaced into getting used as an insult, then it extremely is the guy who used it who has led to the offense. Likewise for derogatory words for different races, genders or sexual orientations. i think of it extremely is a shaggy dog tale that black human beings are "reclaiming" the n-be conscious by utilising it themselves. quite? How does that artwork and why is it nevertheless offensive if i take advantage of it interior a similar context? could desire to women folk bypass around utilising the c-be conscious to describe themselves? and how could you sense if I used the c-be conscious to consult with you? My factor is that it takes 2 human beings to make words offensive - the criminal and the indignant. And there are limits to what you are able to say without being offensive. in specific situations the context wherein a be conscious is used makes it much less offensive, yet no longer continuously. that does no longer recommend we could desire to continuously bypass overboard and censor ourselves on each and every thing that we are saying, it purely ability we could desire to observe of the words we use. j0e

You act like Fox News JUST repeats this one story. They cut their segments so short that it's annoying actually, they cut off good stories sometimes.
And yea, political correctness has gone WAY too far everywhere, it's so petty.
Edit: Nothing is "3,000 miles away" or "not significant" anymore.
We thought Osama was "insigifnicant" before we got planes rammed into our families.
Another small note..yes this is a hardly significant story, but it has good truths - The bad in civilization comes from these little insigifnicant but annoying stories that make you think 'Wow, that's messed up' that keep adding up and up..
And up, and up, until you get Iran or pre-WW2 Germany.

Jim W -- you are an unclever and unwitty person. Your childish retort adds absolutely nothing to the debate.
