Take a deep breath, force your belly WAY out, and hold it. Hiccups are spasms in your diaphragm, so filling up with air from top to bottom forces your diaphragm to stretch. It may take a couple of tries, but it works for me.

The scare tactic honestly has worked for me. It sounds silly, but it works. you need someone else who will pop out and scare you really good by yelling boo and jumping out at you or something. They need to do it some time when you don't expect it though, you can't know they are around getting ready to do it.
Also, hiccups are sometimes brought on by excess gas, and belching can help them go away faster.

I swear to god this works everytime. Get a glass of water and have someone plug your ears so you can't hear anything. Then drink the water. They are gone right?
