When the show started, they were in Junior year of high school, except for Jackie, who was in her sophomore year. This was year 1976. By the end of the show, it was new years day, 1980.

Confused. How old were their characters? Or how old were the Actors/Actresses themselves?
Their characters were in high school and up to two years (maybe three, out of High school) So around 16 to 20 (21). In the earlier episodes, Eric gets the Vista Cruiser, indicating he has to be at least 16 to drive. They graduate from High School and Eric takes one year off to piddle around, finally deciding the next year or so to leave for Africa.
If its the Actors/Actresses themselves, I have no clue how old they are.
Also loved this show and was very sad to see it go off the air. Damn Actors ego's.

they played teenagers in school back in the 70's but I think Matt Kusher and the one who played Hyde are a lot older than teen years. Gosh I love that show watch it all the time

They are supposed to be seventeen to eighteen at the beginning and nineteen to twenty at the end. You can figure that one out when Fez is sleeping with an older woman in the last season and she says that he is nineteen.

when i started i think they were around 16 and i think jackie was a year behind them.
