Because they are old and don't feel well. They are trying to hurry at the bank or where ever they are so they can get back home. It's rude of them yes but there was a time in this world that people would stop and let older people go 1st.

First, no one "always" or "never" does anything. Besides that, you should respect the older generation, and if them getting through the line faster makes their day better or easier, let them! They have earned the right to get through the rest of their life a little easier.

Cause they dont know how much time they have left so they dont think they should have to wait in line like everyone else

You have to keep in mind that time is short for them. They have to rush to make certain they get to where they are going because you never know when the big one will hit.
